Brianna received her B.S. degree in Agriculture majoring
in Animal Science from TAMUK
in December 2003. Her current
M.S. research work is focusing
on Chemical Contamination
and Toxicity of the Lower
Rio Grande near Laredo,
TX, which is supported under
CREST-RESSACA.
Jessica Ruiz
Jessica graduated from TAMUK with
a B.S. degree in chemical engineering
in May 2005. She is now a Ph.D.
Student and working on effects
of the precipitation processes
on the removal of contaminants
in natural streams. Jessica’s
research is supported by a NSF
CAREER Award to Dr. Ren.
Justin Custer
Justin is a senior undergraduate
student in the Department of Biology
at TAMUK and will receive a B.S.degree
in Biology with a minor in Chemistry
in December 2005. He has a perfect
4.0 GPA with an excellent background
in biology and chemistry. He has
earned many awards including award
from National Honor Society, State
Board of Education Academic Excellence
Award, and TAMUK General Chemistry
Student of the Year 2002-2003. He
has been on the Dean’s List
and President’s List since
fall 2002. Justin will pursue a
Ph.D. degree with Dr. Ren after
his graduation in December. Justin’s
research work will focus on effects
of particle aggregation/disaggregation
on sediment and contaminant transport
in river systems. Justin’s
research is supported by a NSF CAREER
Award to Dr. Ren.
